Wreck:
The surface fractures.
Fluidity yields. The body no longer expands: it breaks apart. The fish has lost continuity.
It is neither recognised nor insinuated. It has been eroded, altered, pushed to its limit.
I work without prior scheme. The material responds, resists, imposes itself.
Nothing is drawn. Nothing is organised.
The sculpture is not composed: it happens.
A trace remains. Pressure remains.
At this point I enter into dialogue with Fabbri, Dubuffet and Fautier.
Internal decomposition has taken place. Now the exterior erupts.
