Black on blue simplicity:
The essence of simplicity
The fish does not present itself: it is suggested.
Two lines define its contour.
Nothing is added and nothing is emphasised.
The curve and the plane establish a direct relation with space.
No ornament. No narration. No visible gesture.
The work does not represent.
It is.
The form remains because nothing is superfluous.
At this point I enter into dialogue with Judd, Andre and Flavin.
The form has been reduced to its limit. Now matter reappears.
