Reflections of a Metal Master:

The line assumes weight.

After instability, bare matter appears. Iron does not enclose: it delineates. It does not occupy space: it traces it.
The fish is no longer a compact body. It becomes an open structure. A drawing suspended.
I work the metal without disguise. The joints remain visible. The lines do not fill; they tension the void.
Here nothing is modelled. Everything is articulated in the air.
At this point I enter into dialogue with Julio González, Gargallo and Caro.

The line has traced space. Now matter begins to curve again.
